We showed you strawberry favours before, now we have another sweet treat for you! Cherry favours! These DIY favours are simple, delicious and healthy! And they are probably one of the easiest DIY ideas you can tackle! Simply place in a bag or a box with a pretty label, and voila, DIY Cherry Favours! Cherries are perfect for summer weddings and even better for smaller, intimate weddings. These will surely bring a smile to all of your guest’s faces. Look for miniature crates or baskets, perfect for rustic or casual outdoor weddings. Adding a handful of cherries and clustering together on one table makes for a fabulous photo! You can even create fun little DIY flags or signs to place in each basket. You can even label each one to serve as an escort card! How cute would those look! Another great way to personalize these favours. You can find a variety of boxes in different styles and sizes, some that even can be folded to close at the top. You can leave each box open and guests can choose if they want to snack on them at the wedding or take them home. White or natural kraft bags are another great idea and some can even be printed with your names and wedding date! Or create your own DIY thank you label right at home and attach to each bag. You can even incorporate them into your centerpiece with a small bucket full on each table! DIY ~ Natural Wood Accents!

Here is a DIY idea perfect for brides with natural themed weddings in mind! Creating a variety of DIY ideas using cut pieces of wood is sure to add a rustic element to your wedding day. And with the endless possibilities, here are just a few fun ideas to help get your started! Once idea we simply love is using slices of wood as the base to any centerpiece. Add tall pillar candles, vintage old cans full of wild flowers or glass vases full of prairie grass to create a centerpiece that’s as unique as you are. You can even place a few taller pieces of cut wood at varying heights together on your reception tables to create a fuller centerpiece. Scatter votive candles around to add warmth to each table. Another great idea is to cut thicker slices of wood to serve as a cake tray! How gorgeous would this look with a beautiful wedding cake resting upon such a wonderful natural element! For the more crafty bride, you can even create the tray and base as per the photo below! Smaller wood slices are perfect for place cards too! Cut disks from smaller branches and either write each guests’ name and table number on them or print onto clear round label paper and affix each round label to each disk. A bed of moss can serve as a colourful base for these adorable place cards – another nature friendly element! Carry the wood through to other ares of your reception with DIY table numbers! If you’re thinking of ways to add small but lovely details to your wedding, think of ways to incorporate lace into your special day! If your wedding gown features a lovely lace detail, carry that through to you wedding décor! Start with your wedding invitations. What a great way to add some extra detail with a soft lace border. If you’re wedding theme is more vintage, here’s a fun concept to add to your décor! Buttons! What a great way to add an extra detail to your special day. Buttons make for a cute idea for escort or place cards! Create your own and add a button as an embellishment. You can find small white tags at your local paper or craft store and with a couple of vintage buttons stuck or sewn on, this makes a great DIY project for crafty brides! Another fun idea is to create your table numbers using buttons. Glue them to coloured card stock or fabric in such a way that they form the number. Use either all the same buttons for a cohesive look or use a variety of different colours and sizes for a really unique look! Buttons are also a fun embellishment to add to your wedding favours! You can sew them on to fabric bags, glue them on to boxes or tie with colourful ribbons. For for brides who love to sew, create your own Ring Pillow made with buttons. If you’re planning on serving cupcakes at your wedding as your favours or even as your dessert, make your own mini flags to place on each one! You can really have some fun personalizing these cute this flags. Use different coloured papers or patterns and mix and match. All the different patterns together will really draw the eye to a fun cupcake dessert bar! You can personalize them with your names, your initials, your wedding date or have some fun with them and use cute little words to describe your happy day! They also work great for appetizer trays! DIY ~ Escort Card Trees!

What a fun and creative idea this one is! Instead of arranging your escort cards in the usual rows on a table, how about making some an escort card tree? You can arrange various branches in a vase and tie each escort card with a colourful ribbon to the branches. The best part is you will get to customize and personalize them the way you want. If branches are a part of of your centerpieces, create larger versions of them to match your décor. Look for containers or vases that match the ones being used as part of your centerpieces and create your own cards right at home! On one side, you can feature each guest name and table number and on the other side, add something fun like “well wishes” or “words of advise”. Leave smaller containers on each reception table for guests to place their cards in after dinner! They can write fun little notes for the newlyweds or offer up words of advice for a long and happy marriage! You can even do something silly such as “words that describe the bride or groom” or maybe even ask the guest to tell a funny story of the couple. You’ll have a great time reading each response and after the wedding, you can create a memory book full of all the hand written cards.
