Photography is so much harder as a profession than I ever imagined it would be. It is a lot of work, and it takes so much focus (no pun intended..lol), and I probably will never feel like I have it totally mastered. But there is nothing more rewarding than looking through my camera at a person and all of a sudden realizing how amazing and valuable they are and knowing that I am taking pictures of them that they and their loved ones are going to treasure for the rest of their lives. It gives me chills! I can’t believe I get to spend my time in such an amazing way! I absolutely LOVE getting real smiles, real tears, real emotions and there’s no amount of cheese that can recreate those real moments. I do however, LOVE creative portraiture! I love to scope out great backgrounds, find the best light and tell you to scoooooch in close for some sweet, romantic, silly, happy, amazing shots. Each of my engagement sessions are tailored to my clients. I don’t strive to get pictures of what you look like – I strive to get pictures of WHO YOU ARE! Now more than ever, I value photography for how it helps us remember what is most precious to us. I honestly cannot think of what I would rather do every day.
