Hi friends! We’re back today with the next post with our Planning 101 segment. Today we are talking about budget. You will often hear couples say ‘we have a budget’ or ‘I am on a budget’. While this is true, an event does have a budget, most couples planning don’t know exactly what their budget is or even how to determine it. Have no fear, we are hear to help! 🙂
First find out who is paying for the wedding. Are you paying for this yourselves? Are both or either sets of parents contributing?
Once you have figured out who is paying for what and determined what your total budget is you can begin to allocate money for each area of your wedding. Together, you will want to decide what is most important to you as a couple. Is a good photographer most important to you? Or is the food or caterer, bar, music or guest experience top priority? Once you figure out what is the most important part of your big day you can begin to allocate the appropriate amount of money for each area!
Check back in with us next week when we talk about booking your first few wedding vendors!
Happy Planning! XO
