It is very true that there is a lot more work that goes in to the bride’s wedding day look but sometimes it’s not so easy for the guys either! It needs to fit and be tailored to him just as your dress needs to be to you! Here’s some helpful tips for shopping for your future husbands suit!
First decision of course is which style he wants to wear, whether it be a three piece tux or simple slacks and suspenders with a button down; it is important that his outfit matches the style of your wedding just as your dress will. If your wedding is at an outdoor venue or tent then the more casual look of suspenders works but if your wedding is in a grand ballroom or upscale venue then a suit or tux is more appropriate.
Second, decide if all of the men will be buying or renting their suits. Renting can be a good option as it will likely be more cost effective but purchasing the suit will allow each gentleman to get fitted so the suits can be tailored to their exact measurements. Fit and comfort are just as important for the men so consider this when deciding which route is best!
Think about the season your wedding will take place in as well! If it’s the middle of summer a wool suit will be stifling so consider upgrading to a microfiber shirt that will allow for some ventilation. If it’s in the middle of winter a wool or crushed velvet suit jacket is not only classy but warmer!
